What benefits do I get as a member?

Good Question!

At a basic level, you are entitled to vote at an Annual General Meeting, attend various scheduled meetings and participate at our other events.

We offer camaraderie and interesting radio related activities

You can also use our clubhouse facilities and equipment when we are open or by special appointment.

We have one monthly general meeting (often with a speaker), and Project nights as needed. We have weekly get togethers on most Saturday mornings where members are involved in working bees, on air activities or just a cuppa and chat.

We have a modest library of books and manuals and study material.

We offer advice and assistance to design, repair and complete your radio related projects and organise group buys to reduce costs of equipment and accessories

We provide free internet access via Wifi at the clubhouse

Our linked FM Repeater network is running IRLP and Echolink to cover almost the entire Riverina including most of our major highways from north of Albury to Yass and from west of Griffith to Tumut and Tumbarumba.

We participate in a variety of amateur radio contests, both from the clubhouse and from expeditions. These include John Moyle Field Day, Trans Tasman, Harry Angel Ultra Marathon and more.

We hold Foundation license training and assessment courses plus upgrade assessments across the Riverina and South West Slopes.

We support many community events from fun runs and marathons to car rallies

In turn this brings in new and interesting people who contribute to the overall fun activities of our club.

In short

We do a lot, push the boundaries and have fun doing it.
